What the new Act means for you

A cross inside of a change icon.

The new Act won’t change the services you’re receiving right now.

A group of people with disability pointing at themselves and raising their hands.

It will support all people with disability.

A person supporting someone else in front of a sign that says 'NDIS'.

This includes people who aren’t part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

The NDIS provides services and support to people with disability.

A government building and a dollar sign.

The new Act won’t affect any funding that people with disability get themselves.

Funding is money from the government that pays for services and supports.

This includes funding like:

A sign that says 'NDIS'.

  • the NDIS

A document that says 'Disability Support Pension'. The document also shows a dollar sign.

  • the Disability Support Pension.
  • The Disability Support Pension is a payment from the government to help with your day‑to-day living costs.

A dollar sign with an arrow pointing to a services icon.

The new Act will support the Australian Government to keep giving funding to services outside the NDIS.

A group of people working on a document together.

The new Act won’t provide services directly to people with disability.

But it will help us create new services in the future.
